Laura & Aidan had a small wedding at the beautiful Durn House in Portsoy in Aberdeenshire. The day began with everyone getting ready before the romantic ceremony by registrar Annette MacDonald. Then there was confetti, cocktails, canapes and lawn games outside followed by speeches amongst the yummy homemade cakes Laura and her mum had baked the day before. Such an organised girl! Dexta the family dog was getting heaps of attention and everything was very relaxed with lots of laughs and smiles. Then there was the dinner announcement (vintage table decor by Laura’s mum who runs Cakes and Crockery) and once all guests were seated the standard wedding regime went a bit off piste. It also happened to be Laura’s sister, Joanne’s birthday and so to celebrate there was a surprise STRIPPER (must be an Aberdeenshire thing, haha). Lots of laughs and confused looks from the guests ensued. This was all grand until the manager came in to stop it (just before it got interesting), chased him off (boooo) and then there was a scream and dum dum dum…
Yep, you read the title correctly.
A. MURDER. MYSTERY. WEDDING!
To top it off, none of Laura & Aidan’s guests knew about this until ‘the murder’ happened!
I met Laura and Aidan for the first time at Formartines and then Portsoy to do their pre-wedding photoshoot and loved that even they didn’t want to know all the details of the murder mystery so it was an event for all. The Right Here Productions Team who performed the murder mystery were amazing. I even had a fake assistant called Len Scap, haha!
What an excellent day, a brilliant idea and SUCH a fun wedding! Love you pair!
