In August 2014 I had a great time photographing a wedding that was held in a venue that I used to go for drinks in fairly regularly in Hyndland. Cottiers is a beautiful old church that is now a pub, theatre and wedding venue. Nikki and David are so effortlessly in love that it was so easy to photograph them interacting throughout the day. The church was lit by fairy lights, which I have to admit was a tad tough to shoot in but it looked beautifully romantic and the ceremony was so personal I could feel myself tearing up when Nikki got a bit emotional. The day was a scorcher too and again the light was tough to shoot in outside as full sunshine can create some harsh shadows. For this reason we scooted across the road where an ivy laden wall provided us with some shade and pretty sun-flares for some couple shots.
All in all it was a beautiful heartfelt day with lots of laughs, sunshine and love.
Many happy anniversaries to come xxx
