Welcome to Cademuir Photography
About Cademuir Photography
Cademuir Photography was set up in June 2013 and is named after the house I grew up in. I always thought that it was pronounced “Cade-muir” and not “Cad-muir” but I haven’t quite figured out which is right so I’m sticking with the former. I may incorrectly correct you if you say it incorrectly.
Cademuir is also the name of a hill range in bonnie Scotland (which come to think about, is probably where the house name came from, haha). I have always loved photography and have had my first DSLR since 2007. I use almost all Canon kit including cameras and flashes with a mixture of Canon and Sigma lenses.
I shoot mainly weddings & lifestyle (e.g. families, couples, etc) photography around Scotland but happy to travel. I mostly photograph people and love trying to get those wee secret shots you get when no-one really notices and you can see the real, raw emotion. The story of your day or the atmosphere during your photo session is best shown through a mix of photographs of people, your surroundings, the weather and all the little things that you have spent time on like the details in weddings, handmade objects and cakes (mmmmm, cake).
Please have a wee browse through some of my work.
If you like my style and are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic photographer then, I’d love to hear from you so please do get in touch.
My name is Kim, I’m 34 and 5ft 6″.
I’m friendly, smiley, laugh when nervous and I love, love, love taking photos.
I am both a photographer and a physicist, phhhhh!
I am also a mummy to a very funny and smiley little boy.
The Labyrinth and Pan’s Labyrinth are two of my favourite films and I would quite like to make a labyrinth one day.
I love happy dogs.
I like golden tequila served with a slice of orange and a dash of cinnamon (as taught by my good friend Kathi).
The silence in a busy lift (elevator) always makes me laugh.
One day I will make the perfect macaron… one day.
Me with some corn (love a good corn field), at my home in Edinburgh & Arthur’s Seat from Calton Hill
My favourite happy dog.
